Some of the excellent ones, such as the Arcadia Golf Course, the Lake Forest Golf and Practice Center and Scholl Canyon Golf Course all offer a wide variety of lessons for your edification. You can take golf lessons in groups or individually from a seasoned professional golfing instructor, and get started off on the right foot with golfing. Of course, experienced golfers might enjoy a little review now and then or help with a specific golfing issue they would like to master, and golf instructors are ready to help you move up to a higher level of play.

All golfers who are regular players will find that they also enjoy watching a good game of golf in their free time. One of the most famous golf tours in all of America is the PGA Tour. Watch this tour, and you will have gone a long way toward enriching your golfing experience.

The Professional Golfers' Association, or PGA, Tour is the name of the organization that runs the United States' prominent professional golf tours. These are men's tours, although women are also allowed to enter and compete. Women have a separate tour called the LPGA Tour.

The PGA holds three golf tours a year: the PGA Tour, the Champions Tour, and the Nationwide Tour. The PGA Tour is a highly competitive tour, with a qualifying tournament. The top 30 finishers in the qualifying rounds are allowed to play in the next year's PGA Tour. Those who were not in the top thirty of the qualifying tour, yet still played very well qualify for the Nationwide tour. The top 25 winners of the Nationwide are allowed to advance to the following year's PGA Tour. Also, anyone who wins 3 golf events on the Nationwide tour gets bumped up to the current year's PGA Tour. The Champions Tour was created to cater to players over 50 years old, and often features several past winners of PGA Tour events.

This year 48 events will be held during the PGA Tour's regular golfing season. The final event of the series is called the President's Cup, which is a team event between the best United States players against the finest World players excluding Europe, which participates in the Ryder Cup event instead. Each team consists of 12 players, and each team has a captain that does not play during the event. Several United States presidents have been chairmen of this event, including Gerald Ford, George H.W. Bush, and Bill Clinton. The proceeds from the President's Cup go to charity. Some of the early golf events are held in California, so there are opportunities for golf fans to see their favorite golfers play in person as well as enjoying it on television.
